๐‘๐„๐‚๐Ž๐†๐๐ˆ๐™๐ˆ๐๐† ๐„๐‹๐†๐” ๐๐๐‹๐’ ๐‚๐‡๐€๐Œ๐๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐’: Local government units in the region were feted by the DICT Regional Office IX and BASULTA for their sustained adoption and utilization of automated business processing systems enabling digital transformation and ease of doing business in the first eLGU BPLS Summit and Awards Wednesday, November 22.

A total of 62 local government units were recognized as BPBC Operational LGUs Awardees for their commitment in enabling government efficiency and in setting the standard for ease of doing business in the region the DICTโ€™s Integrated Business Permits and Licensing System: Business Permits with Barangay Clearance (BPBC).

These LGUs are: Aurora, Bayog, Dimataling, Dinas, Dumalinao, Dumingag, Guipos, Josefina, Kumalarang, Labangan, Lakewood, Lapuyan, Mahayag, Margosatubig, Midsalip, Molave, Pitogo, Ramon Magsaysay, San Miguel, San Pablo, Tabina, Tambulig, Tigbao, Tukuran, Vincenzo A. Sagun for Zamboanga del Sur; Diplahan, Imelda, Kabasalan, Malangas, Payao, Roseller Lim, Siay, Talusan, Titay, Tungawan for Zamboanga Sibugay; Godod, Gutalac, Jose Dalman, Kalawit, Katipunan, La Libertad, Labason, Leon B. Postigo, Liloy, Manukan, Mutia, Piรฑan, Polanco, Pres. Manuel A. Roxas, Rizal, Salug, Siayan, Sibutad, Sindangan, Tampilisan for Zamboanga del Norte; Isabela, Lamitan, Lantawan, Sumisip, Tipo-Tipo for Basilan; Talipao for Sulu, and Bongao for Tawi-Tawi.

The LGUs of Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Polanco and Siayan of Zamboanga del Norte were also recognized for their adoption of both the BPBC and the Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy (BPCO).

Special awards were also conferred to emerging and trailblazing LGUs in the field of digitalization and streamlined business processing. The LGU of Isabela was conferred the Emerging BPCO Innovator, while the LGUs of Sergio Osmeรฑa, Zamboanga del Norte, Maluso, Basilan, and Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay were recognized as eLGU Trailblazers.

The Digital Payment Pioneer award was received by Isabela City, Basilan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, and Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur for having Operational and Upcoming ePayment systems.

Bagging the BPLS:BPBC Revenue Champion Award was LGU Bongao, Tawi-Tawi for achieving the highest revenue increase in the region with the BPLS.

The eLGU BPLS Summit and Awards was spearheaded by the DICT Regional Office IX and BASULTA in line with its thrust to advance digitalization in local government units for more efficient and effective public service delivery through streamlined ICT-enabled systems.
