DUMALINAO BAYANIHAN GRANT!

In relation to Republic Act No. 11649, known as “Bayanihan to heal as One Act”, the Municipality of Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur implements measures to address the existence of a National Emergency arising from the CoronaVirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Immediately, thereafter we followed all issuances relative thereto and acted within our means to give immediate response such as the distribution of Food packs (ie: rice, noodles, sardines, corned beef, eggs, dried fish and mongo )out from our 5% LDRRMF –Quick Response fund) to the most vulnerable sectors in our area of responsibility. As of date we extended these food packs to the 4-Ps beneficiaries, Senior Citizens, PWD, daily wage earners who were extremely affected by the lockdown made in our area. Checkpoints also were established at designated strategic areas to monitor the incoming and outgoing of the populace particularly in Barangay Paglaum as we experience a total lock-down of the said Barangay when a seven-year old boy came out positive of his Swab Test. Contact tracing were also done. Strict quarantine schedules including curfew hours were observed in all barangays within Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur as we succumbed to the Enhanced Community Quarantine from April 1 to May 15, 2020. As of now we are observing the General Community Quarantine, however, a checkpoint is still functional. Our Municipality is also a recipient of the Bayanihan Grant amounting to P9,812,983.00 of which utilization is governed by Local Budget Circular No. 125 dated April 7, 2020. We are about to distribute another round of one (1) 25 kilos sack of rice to all households within the 30 barangays of Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur taken from the Bayanihan Grant and our 20% Economic Development Fund. A COVID LIGTAS CENTER is established at the Dumalinao Regional Pilot School to particularly received LSIs. This is a facility to host incoming persons for isolation. Complete basic isolation needs are installed based on the guidelines being imposed thereto.
